Amercast fire hydrant fenders are made out of A36 steel and measure 6 foot 3 inches in height or 75”. Fenders can be furnished primed and painted depending on the specification. They are also furnished with cast iron caps which are drilled and pinned on-site to prevent removal. They should be filled with class A concrete on-site. New York City DEP has specific standards governing the placement and standards. Usual placements are either 2, 3 or 4 unit setups.
