Detectable Warning Plates- Detectable warning plates are ADA plates made in cast iron and polymer. They are placed on side walks, cross walks and railway station. Detectable warning plates and Tiles are used.
Available in both cast in place and surface applied forms, radius systems are designed to be placed along walkways, curbs, and more to alert the visually-impaired. Panels are manufactured with ADA-compliant radius truncated dome panels. Designed by ADA Solutions, Inc. to be Contractor friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
There are two main types of ADA Tiles / Detectable Warning Plates known as cast in place and surface applied
Cast-In-Place
A strong detectable warning plate that is embedded into freshly poured concrete. Cannot be removed without demolition of existing concrete and pouring of fresh concrete for new detectable warning panels installation. This is the go to process and product for most Contractors and municipal specifications.
Surface Applied Units
Surface applied tiles can be easily retrofitted into existing concrete surfaces. These detectable warning surfaces are firmly secured with a glue or an adhesive, nylon sleeve anchors and 301 stainless steel screws.
